Aravinda means Lotus in Sanskrit.

The lotus, although rooted in muddy waters, gifts us with its beautiful flower. It unfurls petal by petal revealing a beautiful golden root in the middle. Just like the lotus, we have the capacity to tap into our inner healer, our inner light, and bloom with health and radiance in the midst of life's challenges.

What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is a holistic health practice that originated in India more than 5000 years ago.  Ayurveda literally translates from Sanskrit as: the knowledge of life.  Life, per Ayurveda, is defined as a combination of the physical body, the sense organs, the mind, and the spirit. Wellbeing is the balance of each of these components and dis-ease is the imbalance. Ayurveda aims to re-establish and maintain balance of all three.

Ayurveda considers each individual to be a unique expression of nature. Therefore, recommendations are always tailored to suit your particular state of balance and imbalance and take into account all the multidimensional layers of your life. Most importantly, Ayurveda always emphasizes addressing the root cause of any imbalance.

Ayurveda encompasses all modalities that can help re-establish and maintain the balance of body, mind, and spirit. Recommendations can include suggestions for diet, lifestyle (various forms of physical movement, daily and seasonal routine), herbs, meditation, as well as spiritual and life coaching.

Who can benefit from Ayurveda?
